COVID19- CAMP CLOSED FOR APRIL
At this time, Evans Lake is currently CLOSED due to the COVID-19 pandemic and the federal and provincial health orders in place. We are closed until the end of April, at which point we will reassess (and likely extend into May).
We ask that people do not visit our site or the surrounding trails into camp, out of abundance of caution, and for the safety of our onsite team. Thank you for understanding and obliging.
FOREST FIRE EVACUATION
This past week (April 15-19, 2020) Evans Lake was evacuated due to a forest fire burning close to camp. Fortunately, the fire has since been sufficiently suppressed, and our team has been able to return home. We are happy to report that rain is in the forecast for the coming week, which will help tremendously. The BC Wildfire crew working the fire, have asked for people to stay out of the area, which includes Squamish & Paradise Valley, Evans Lake, Levette Lake, Hutt Lake, Butterfly Lake, etc. #StayHome #activefire
We at Evans Lake are doing our very best during these difficult times. We understand the struggle many of you are facing and wish you and your loved one’s health and strength throughout these challenges. Hopefully, in the near future we can welcome groups back to our site, as we feel camp will be needed more than ever.
Sincerely,
Lauren Marghetti
