Subsidy Application – General
Evans Lake believes that all youth should have the opportunity to benefit from our unique forest education camp experience. For this reason, Evans Lake Forest Education Society actively fundraises and accepts donations all year round for our Campership Program (camper subsidies). These funds make it possible to send youth to camp, by removing or reducing the financial barrier. In order for these raised funds to reach maximum benefit, we ask that families contribute as much as they can towards their camper’s experience.
If you require financial assistance, we encourage you to begin the subsidy application process by downloading the subsidy application form. Please complete this form in full, as it allows Evans Lake to get to know your family and devise a payment plan that would best suits your financial means. The subsidy application dates are noted in the form.
Once your application is complete, please email it to admin@evanslake.com. Subsidy approval will need to occur prior to registration in a camp session. Please submit your form as soon as possible, as camp spots fill up quickly. Note: Each year camp fills up more quickly than the year before (we estimate within the first couple months of the year). We do allot a number of spots each session to campers applying for a subsidy, however those will fill up as well. We encourage you to register early to avoid disappointment. You will be contacted about your subsidy request 2-4 weeks after the application due date.
If you are in need of any clarifications or have any questions, please do not hesitate to contact us.
If you would like to inquire about securing a subsidy on behalf of a family in need, please complete our Subsidy Referral Form.
Thank you for your support of the Evans Lake Campership Program
Subsidy Request- Anitra Paris OAK Camp, Campership
Anitra Paris, once a camper turned program staff member and eventually a board member, discovered her passion for nature and the environment at Evans Lake. Her time at camp instilled in her a deep appreciation for nature’s beauty and significance, shaping her career and dedication to renewable energy. This profound connection fueled her commitment to environmental protection and fostering a better world for both people and nature.
The Anitra Paris Campership Fund was established to support OAK Campers facing financial barriers, providing them with the opportunity to immerse themselves in the backcountry of Garibaldi while connecting with Evans Lake and the surrounding environment. Through this campership, youth are empowered to forge meaningful connections with nature, gaining invaluable experiences and reaping the benefits of camp life. To apply, please complete the subsidy application form. In part B, there is a place to express your interest in this funding.
