Your Home in the Forest

Evans Lake

Operated by the charitable Evans Lake Forest Education Society, we have a mandate to offer forest and outdoor education programs to children and youth.

Evans Lake offers an exciting array of outdoor activities including canoeing, paddle boarding, rock-climbing, low ropes course, archery and more. We provide various summer camp sessions for campers between the ages of 8 and 16. The facility is also available year-round for school field trips, family events, weddings and private bookings.

Evans Lake is easily accessible by Vancouver and the Lower Mainland, located 15 kilometers North of Squamish, BC. Our location features a picturesque mountain lake, 400 hectares of forest, and 10 kilometers of hiking trails reaching Levette Lake, Hut lake and beyond.

A core belief of Evans Lake, is that you leave our camp with a deeper knowledge and admiration of the forest and the environment that surrounds us. One of the best ways to learn is by having fun and getting your hands dirty.

Evans Lake Forest Education Centre operates on the Society’s mandate to provide outdoor, environmental and forest based educational opportunities for youth and community groups.

In order to meet our mandate and provide exceptional programs we have created an extensive outdoor education manual to assist teachers in planning before, during and after their stay at Evans Lake.
