Thank you for your interest in volunteering! Your dedication to Evans Lake is truly appreciated, as our volunteers are an invaluable resource and a huge part of our success.
Every year, volunteers donate their time to help us improve Evans Lake. Volunteers help us with our summer and winter camp programs, site maintenance, marketing initiatives, website management, office assistance and fundraising. In the past few years we have logged 6000-6500+ volunteer hours.
We host two volunteer work weekends each year, one in the fall, and one in the spring. These events are family friendly. If you would like to attend one of the volunteer work weekends, please email us or stay tuned to our social media accounts for event notices and RSVP details.
We train and host a specialized group of volunteers, called our Volunteer Work Crew, during summer camp. More information about that team and how to apply to join the team can be found on our job openings page. We typically accept applications for the current year’s Volunteer Work Crew in late winter or early spring.
Evans Lake also offers opportunities for students looking to complete practicums and internships. In the past, we have hosted teacher candidates from schools like the University of British Columbia, Queen’s University, and Trent University, as well as other students from the University of Victoria and Capilano University.
Please email us for current volunteer opportunities.
